IHDT is a human capacity building organization founded in year 2000 to pursue the following vision mission and goals.

The IHDT is dedicated & committed to create innovative and people oriented approaches to develop full potential of the human capacities of the communities in Sri Lanka to face the challenges of the 21st century in a sustainable manner.
Goals –
To design & conduct programmers to meet specific national development priorities and keeping pace with the global trends and demand.
Developing an expertise in the field of human development by integrating it in the planning of sustainable development
To facilitate networking, partnerships and exchanges between all organizations with similar interest, locally and internationally.
To associate for the realization of the objectives of the various institutions of the United Nations to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and diseases.
To co-operate & carry out joint programs with government ,Private, NGO and other institutions to achieve similar objectives.
